Charitable Giving

Raising awareness about conservation causes, and supporting the work of non-profits in those spaces through charitable donations is central to the mission of Firefly Lacquer.

Beginning October 1st 2026, charity donations will be collected for 30 days following the launch of a collection. Since the majority of sales for a collection happen within the first week, this allows for a one time payment to the organization at the end of the month (minimizing processing and administration fees), and for proceeds from the polishes to be added to future collections (See Food for Flight for an example of how this works).

Whether working with local communities, fighting for legal protections, or using technology to innovate solutions to climate challenges, the conservation community is incredibly varied. I hope to use these collections as a way to highlight a range of themes and organizations, and that if a particular organization or cause resonates with someone, that they will feel inspired to learn more.

The Nature Conservancy - Food for Flight

Donation Totals October 1st

Food for Flight is a charity trio that launched in August, celebrating three keystone plant species of the Midwest. Keystone species are the glue that holds their ecosystems together, and in honor of their role, $1 from each bottle sold will be donated to the Nature Conservancy.

For over 75 years, they have partnered with communities worldwide to support conservation initiatives, protecting over 125 million acres of land and 137 million acres of ocean, and creating more than 700 public nature preserves.

At a time when federal and state protections for public lands, waterways, and endangered species are being rolled back at an unprecedented rate, the work they do is more important than ever, and Firefly Lacquer is proud to support their mission.
